THEATER GUILD
- To present good theater in the Eastern Upper Peninsula
- To promote and develop interest in theater and its allied arts, and to
provide a medium for the expression of such interests
- To provide for the education and training of its members in all
phases of the dramatic arts
- To encourage high standards of theater practices through the
sharing and exchange information among the Corporation
members, and with other bona fide groups and organizations, and
by subscribing to those allied societies, associations and/or
institutions deemed by the Governing Body of the Corporation to
fulfill the intent of this section of the By-Laws
The SCT board has been working diligently to
reestablish ourselves within the Theater and Arts
community. Along with many internal changes
we have decided on a few external changes. The

Agatha Christie's murder mystery, "The Mousetrap,"
(which opened in the West End of London in 1952, and
has been running continuously since then) is coming to
the Chippewa Theater Guild, 700 Eureka Street, Sault Ste.
Marie, MI. this April! It has had the longest initial run of
any play in history, with over 24,000 performances so far.
It is the longest running show (of any type) of the modern
era. The play is also known for its twist ending) and is
being directed by Will Karr,
We are happy to welcome Will Karr back to the Chippewa
Theater Guild! Will was a past member of the Sault
Community Theater as well as a past president, director
and actor in our group and we are thrilled Will has agreed
to return to direct The Mousetrap!
THANK YOU to our GREAT SPONSORS!
